Nuevo Laredo es ejemplo en Tamaulipas; gracias al programa de rescate de colmenas, el municipio ha destacado por ser el único en todo el estado, que cuenta con un proyecto como este en el que no sólo se cuida el medio ambiente, sino que se apoya a los productores locales.
El Gobierno Municipal a través de la Secretaría de Desarrollo Económico, entregó más de 60 colmenas rescatadas a los apicultores locales a fin de potencializar la economía de los emprendedores y salvaguardar a las abejas, principales polinizadores del mundo.
Esta actividad se desarrolla con equipo capacitado y especializado de la Dirección de Desarrollo Rural con apoyo de Protección Civil, quienes realizan la valoración de las enjambres, siempre en busca de rescatar el panal de abejas y evitar su destrucción.
Gracias a este programa, la producción de miel de los apicultores locales llega hasta la cosecha de 500 kilos de miel por colmena.
Daniel Castillo Zúñiga, el apicultor del Gobierno Municipal encargado de la captura y rescate de enjambres, destacó que esta práctica favorece al ecosistema así como al emprendedurismo.
“El rescate es la mejor vía para evitar la destrucción de una colmena y que así no se pierda la vida de las abejas qué traen muchos beneficios para el medio ambiente, además, los apicultores locales se benefician al tener más enjambres que produzcan miel para su venta”, enfatizó.
Cada que la ciudadanía reporte la presencia de enjambres, la Dirección de Desarrollo Rural en conjunto con Protección Civil, acuden al lugar para realizar las labores necesarias y rescatar a las abejas sin dañar su colmena y evitando riesgos para la población.
Señaló que las principales zonas donde se encuentran los panales de abeja son en centros de trabajo, escuelas y casas de madera, también informó que pueden ser reportados al 072 de la plataforma CIGA, así como los números de Protección Civil: 867-712-3030 y 867-712-2124.
“Este servicio es gratuito y estamos pendientes en cualquier momento, los invito a que hagan su llamada cuando detecten una colmena para que no se expongan y poder lograr un rescate efectivo”, remarcó.
Asimismo, enalteció que por cada colmena donada, los apicultores tienen un ahorro de hasta mil 500 pesos, cantidad que cuenta para comprar un enjambre.
Por último, Castillo Zúñiga manifestó que los apicultores reciben asesoría para eficientizar la producción de las colmenas, así como mejorar la calidad de vida de las abejas.
